Terms, Conditions, Reservations & Cancellation Policy

PART I - TERMS & CONDITIONS

By making a reservation at ShivAdya — whether directly, through our website, or via a third-party booking platform — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These terms form a binding agreement between you and ShivAdya.

  • All reservations are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of a booking confirmation from ShivAdya or your OTA platform.

  • A valid government-issued photo ID is mandatory for all guests at check-in, as required under Indian law.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a reservation if fraudulent, misleading, or incomplete information is provided.

  • Bookings made on behalf of third parties remain the responsibility of the person who made the reservation.




The following terms apply to direct bookings made through ShivAdya's official channels. Bookings made through OTA platforms (Booking.com, Airbnb, MakeMyTrip, etc.) are subject to the cancellation terms displayed at the time of booking on that platform.


These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.

Standard Cancellation Terms

Peak Season Note: During peak periods (Christmas, New Year, Diwali, and summer peak weeks in May–July), all bookings are non-refundable unless cancelled 30+ days in advance. This will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

Check-In & Check-Out


  • Check-in: 2:00 PM  |  Check-out: 11:00 AM

  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may be chargeable.

  • Guests arriving before check-in time are welcome to use common areas and leave luggage.

  • ShivAdya is not responsible for theft or loss of luggage or valuables left in common areas.

Rates & Payments


  • All rates are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable GST unless stated otherwise.

  • Direct bookings require full or partial payment at the time of booking as communicated during the reservation process.

  • We accept UPI, bank transfer, major credit/debit cards, and cash at the property.

  • All charges incurred during the stay must be settled before check-out.

  • ShivAdya is not responsible for currency conversion fees or bank charges applied by your financial institution.

Liability & Damages


  • Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused to the property, furnishings, or equipment during their stay.

  • ShivAdya is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to guest belongings unless caused by proven negligence of our staff.

  • We are not liable for any injury, illness, or accident that occurs during activities or excursions arranged by third parties, even if recommended by us.

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of accommodation paid for the stay in question.

Force Majeure

ShivAdya shall not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, government orders, landslides, road closures, extreme weather, or public health emergencies. In such cases, we will work with guests in good faith to reschedule or issue credit for a future stay.

PART II - CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICIES

  • 30+ days before check-in
    Full refund, less payment gateway charges

  • 15–29 days before check-in

    50% refund of total booking amount

  • 7–14 days before check-in

    25% refund of total booking amount

  • Less than 7 days before check-in

    No refund

  • No-show

    Full booking amount forfeited

How To Cancel

  • For direct bookings: email us at sales@shivadya.com with your reservation number and the date of your request. Cancellations are confirmed only upon written acknowledgment from ShivAdya.

  • For OTA bookings: cancel through the original platform. Do not contact us for OTA refunds — those are managed entirely by the respective platform.


Refund Process

  • Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.

  • Bank transfer refunds may take an additional 3–5 business days depending on your bank.

  • We do not issue cash refunds for payments made via card or online transfer.

ShivAdya’s Right To Cancel

  • In rare circumstances, ShivAdya reserves the right to cancel a confirmed reservation due to property damage, force majeure events, or guest misconduct in prior visits. In such cases, we will provide a full refund of any amount paid and assist in finding alternative accommodation wherever possible.

Modifications To Reservations

  • Date changes are subject to availability and the rate applicable at the time of the new dates.

  • Room upgrades or downgrades will result in a revised booking amount.

  • Shortening a stay after check-in does not qualify for a refund on unused nights.
