ShivAdya is a boutique eco-property in a working Himalayan village. Our rules exist to protect the natural environment, our neighbours, and the experience of every guest. We appreciate your cooperation.
House Rules
Last Updated: Apr 2026
Check-in from 2:00 PM | Check-out by 11:00 AM
Valid government photo ID required for all guests at check-in — no exceptions.
Unregistered guests are not permitted on property premises overnight.
All guests must be registered at the front desk, including children.
Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
Loud music, parties, and disruptive behaviour are not permitted at any time.
We are in a residential village — please be mindful of local residents and their daily rhythms.
Respectful conduct toward staff and fellow guests is non-negotiable. Abusive behaviour will result in immediate termination of stay with no refund.
Smoking (including cigarettes, cigars, and e-cigarettes) is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
Smoking inside rooms, suites, or common indoor areas will result in a deep-cleaning fee of ₹5,000.
Possession or consumption of illegal substances on the property is strictly prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement.
Single-use plastic is not permitted anywhere on the property. Reusable bottles and bags are encouraged — we provide complimentary filtered water.
Please do not waste water. The Himalayan water supply is precious and finite.
Sort waste using the bins provided.
Do not pick flowers, disturb plants, or remove rocks or natural materials from the property or surrounding area.
Keep noise levels low to avoid disturbing wildlife, especially during early mornings and evenings.
Day visitors (non-staying guests) must be registered at the front desk and are permitted only between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Visitors are not permitted to use guest room facilities, pools, or amenities unless specifically arranged in advance.
The registered guest is responsible for the conduct of their visitors.

Property damage will be charged at replacement cost and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Photography & Privacy
Personal photography for private use is welcome throughout the property.
Commercial photography, drone operations, and content shoots require prior written permission from ShivAdya management.
Please be respectful when photographing staff, other guests, or the village — always ask before pointing a camera at another person.
Local Community
Karjan Village is our home. We ask all guests to treat the local community with the same respect you would show any host — be mindful of dress in public spaces, speak gently, and leave the village as you found it. ShivAdya is rooted in this community and we hold it to a high standard of stewardship.
Violations of house rules may result in immediate eviction from the property without refund and, where applicable, involvement of local law enforcement.
